Taken from the backside of the J.N. Picard Monument in Section 8, lot 17, this shot gives you a better perspective of the section. Directly across the way, on the other side of the monument of Jesus, there is another Picard monument that is identical to this one. And, as you can tell by looking at the horizon, Notre-Dame is situated on a hill. The hill gradually progresses upward the deeper you delve into the cemetery.

Edmond was a son of J.N. Picard and Marie-Henriette Blanchette. Born in 1858, he married Josephine Corriveau, daughter of Pascal & Zoe Beaudoin, probably at St-Ann's church, in Fall River on 29 May, 1881. Edmond and Josephine's son, Edmond Jr., was born 6 Aug., 1882 in Fall River. He married Dorilda Desmarais, daughter of Cyrille and Marcelline Cyriac (?), in Southbridge, MA on 23 Nov., 1908.

Notre-Dame Cemetery, Fall River: Sec. 8 - J. N. Picard Monument

Located in Section 8, lot 17, Joseph Norbert Picard, son of Joseph Picard and Marie Letourneau, died 7 April, 1879 in Fall River, Massachusetts. Believed to have been originally interred at another cemetery in the area, and moved to Notre-Dame at a later date, Norbert is buried with his wife, Marie-Henriette Blanchette. Marie-Henriette, daughter of Pierre Blanchet and Marie-Genevieve Bacon, died on 16, November 1906 in Fall River.
