Lowell Cemetery Tours: Spring Schedule

Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998, Lowell Cemetery was dedicated in 1841. Modeled after Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the Lowell Cemetery became a place of refuge for the citizens of Lowell at a time when there were no parks in the city.

The cemetery offers guided tours every spring and fall.

We are pleased to announce that Richard Howe Jr. local Historian and Register of Deeds for No. Middlesex County, has scheduled the following Spring Tours:

Friday, May 6th at 1:00 PM
Saturday, May 7th at 10:00 AM
Friday, May 20th at 1:00 PM
Saturday, May 21st at 10:00

The tours will begin at the Belvidere Entrance to the Cemetery on Knapp Avenue. There is plenty of free parking inside the cemetery.
All tours are free to the public and reservations are not necessary. Remember to wear comfortable walking shoes...
